How solunar times work

Solunar theory holds that fish feed hardest when the moon is directly overhead or directly underfoot (majors, about two hours each) and moderately at moonrise and moonset (minors, about an hour and a half). Days around the new and full moon rate strongest, and a major that overlaps dawn or dusk is the best window on the calendar. It's not a guarantee — bait, water temperature, and what's actually biting still rule — but generations of fishermen plan around these windows for a reason. Times are calculated for the pin location and shown in your device's time zone.
